how you can help You don’t have to adopt a child to support us! By giving to MAS you will be showing your support to the children, adopters, Concurrent Planning carers and birth families we help. Your gift will help us provide potential adopters the support they need before, during and after the adoption process, maintain our ability to successfully place children with the best possible “forever families” and offer ongoing support to everyone involved in the adoption process. We promise to spend every penny of donated money on services that will directly benefit the children and families we serve. £200 could provide an afternoon of post adoption support for a family who have adopted children but experience difficulties, whether 1 year, 5 years or even 10 years in the future. £100 could provide a safe pushchair for birth parents to use while visiting their baby during assessment with the Concurrent Planning team. £50 could provide an hour’s preparation of indirect letterbox contact between an adopted child and a birth parent for a year. £25 could provide potential adopters with a workbook, including all of the information they learn during preparation groups and assessments. £10 could provide books for children which help to explain the adoption process and provide a quiet, bonding opportunity for the adopters and the child. £5 could provide a night light for a child who is afraid of the dark, helping them to settle more quickly into their new, forever home. Regular Giving Regular giving is the most beneficial way of contributing to the work of MAS. The process is very simple.
How regular giving maximises your donation (based on an income tax at 22%)
NB: MAS is only able to claim back tax at the standard rate. This means that if you are a higher rate taxpayer, you will be able to claim back the difference between the rate you pay and the standard rate on the amount you contribute. One-Off Gift You may prefer to make a one-off gift rather than a long term commitment to regular giving. If you are a UK taxpayer, we will help you make a Gift Aid Declaration, enabling us to claim back almost 30% more in reclaimed tax to add to your gift. No sum is too small and all donations make a difference. Download our donation form here. How Gift Aid maximises your donation (based on and income tax at 22%)
